The FIDE Grand Swiss is an 11-round Swiss tournament taking place from 10-21 October 2019 in the COMIS Hotel and Golf Resort in Douglas, Isle of Man. The winner qualifies for the 2020 Candidates Tournament, with no playoff in case of a tie for first place. The 100 highest rated players from July 2018-June 2019 were invited as well as 17 who qualified through various competitions (3.1 B-H) and wildcards.

Players receive 100 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 50 minutes for 20 moves, then 15 minutes to the end of the game, plus a 30-second increment starting from move one. The total prize fund for the Grand Swiss is $432,500, with $70,000 for first place. Official website:
